Co-stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday offered prayers at Arjun Reddy’s opulent Hyderabad home ahead of the film’s release this month. These two can be seen with folded hands and scarlet shawls over their shoulders in puja sneak glimpses.
VD posted on Twitter after sharing some images from the puja,
“This whole month touring across India and receiving so much love already felt like God’s blessing! But Mummy feels we needed his protection :)So Poooja and sacred Bands for all of us…Now she will sleep in peace while we continue our tour.” Also, Ananya Panday penned a small note on Instagram, “Blessings from Vijay’s amma @deverakonda and a pooja at his home in Hyderabad for #Liger #Thankful #Grateful #Blessed thank you auntyyyyy.”
As we know, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday have been on a countrywide tour promoting Liger. During a recent media appearance in Hyderabad, he was questioned if Liger was a remake or influenced by Puri Jagannadh’s 2003 film, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, to which he replied, “It’s nothing about Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi and it’s not related to it too. In Liger, we are doing MMA, which is very much from boxing and the entire drama. The son and mother bond and the sentiment is very important in Liger and other than that there is no similarity with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. I’m a fan of that movie and I really liked it, it’s my favourite. Also, I’m not somebody who will do remakes, so Liger is not related to Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. When you watch the movie you will understand.
