R Madhavan on Jacqueline getting into legal trouble “I hope she gets out of the trouble, soon

Actors R Madhavan, Aparshakti Khurana, Khushalii Kumar and Darshan Kumar have come together for a suspense drama titled Dhokha -Round D Corner. The flick is all set to hit the theatres on September 23. On 17 August, the teaser of the film was unveiled amid the presence of media.

During the media interaction, actor R Madhavan was prodded about the remake of contents, South films working in the Hindi belt, and Jacqueline Fernandes’s money laundering case.

The actor was asked about his opinion on remakes looking at the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha. He said, “I don’t remake my films anyways. I was insisted to make 3 idiots in Tamil but I didn’t do it. It’s difficult for me as an actor because when I do a scene for the first time, it is tough to even then to give my life and soul. After that to recreate it is impossible. So I don’t think I do remakes of any films, not even mine. Because it then falls prey to comparison which ruins the fun of the film. I think right now everyone is sceptical about what to do.”

When asked about South films doing wonders in the Hindi belt, the actor quipped, “If the film is liked by the audience, they will definitely come to theatres to watch it. Talking about South films, Bahubali 1, Bahubali 2, RRR, Pushpa, KGF 1, and KGF 2, only these six films have managed to collect more than what Hindi film actors earn. We can’t call this a pattern. I think post-pandemic the choice of the audience has changed as via OTT they were exposed to content on a global level. If one understands what intrigues the audience and makes the content accordingly, it will work.”

When asked if Jaqueline Fernandes’ name appearing on the charge sheet will harm the image of the film industry as a whole. R Madhavan jokingly stated, “ye investigative journalism to mera kaam nahi hai. Well, I just hope that she gets out of the trouble very soon.”

Madhavan continues to respond to whether it has an impact on the industry’s image. In Hindi, the actor stated “I don’t think this is hampering our image. There are almost no income tax raids in industry, nowadays. The highest taxpayers of the country belong here. I don’t think this has a reflection on industry
