The coveted 95th Academy Awards ceremony occurred in Los Angeles, United States. It was indeed a proud moment for India with Deepika Padukone being one of the presenters and RRR’s Naatu Naatu winning big yet again.

Not only this, ‘Everything, Everywhere, All at Once’ won best picture at the 95th Academy Awards, closing off an incredible awards season run with the film industry’s top honour.

The adventure picture, won seven trophies, including original writing and directing awards for its authors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as the Daniels).

Michelle Yeoh of ‘Everything, Everywhere, All at Once’ is only the second woman of colour to be named best actor. After a lengthy career in martial arts and action films such as ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ and ‘Yes, Madam,’ he received this honor.

Similarly, in ‘The Whale,’ Brendan Fraser won best actor for his portrayal of a morbidly obese dad attempting to reunite with his estranged daughter.

Fraser, a former A-lister renowned for his roles in blockbusters like ‘George of the Jungle’ and ‘The Mummy,’ has spent the previous decade away from the spotlight coping with health and personal issues. His victory extends his extraordinary comeback.
