Review

A film that the entire globe has been awaiting. Avatar: The Way of Water, the film that has been on our wish list ever since the release of its first instalment, is finally here. But is this chapter of Avatar as compelling as the first? No, sadly.

The film leads us to Jack Sully’s universe after opening in a very beautiful place, a jungle. Jack Sully now lives happily with his family and other members of his tribe following the defeat of the Sky People.

The clan is presently headed by Jack. When Jack is completely content, the sky people suddenly returns with far more recent and advanced technology. How will the residents of Pandora survive? What is Jack’s strategy for taking down the sky people? These are all questions that the film will answer.

Does the audience connect with the tale well? perhaps up to a point. Unintentionally, the plot has a Bollywood flavor to it. It looks a little overdone Even the run-time of the movie doesn’t go well with me . The same story, in my opinion, could have been completed in two hours with far better editing.

To be clear the film is not entirely bad. There is much more to this movie than just what makes us sad. The way all the emotions are portrayed in the film makes you feel as though you could somehow live through them.

From the new-borns to the long gone-s this movie has it all. You’ll cry at the way it portrays an animal’s suffering. When it comes to the “way of water”, Oh good god the way is so beautiful and charismatic that for once you will wish to be a mermaid and play in it.

Speaking of water, the Sully family had to flee their own house and took refuge in the Na’vi’s village. The Na’vis are aquatic creatures that depend on it for their own existence. In this conflict with the sky people, Na’vi join forces with the Sully family.

The theme of “Sullys remain together” permeates the entire film; there is even a dialogue that reads, “No matter where we go, this family is our fortress.”

Although there are flaws in the story, you will laugh, cry, fall in love, and occasionally experience all of these emotions at once while watching the film. Following all the mayhem and clashes. Everything comes down to one idea, “The way of water has no beginning and no end. The sea is you, around you and in you”

Although the film’s conclusion is spectacular, I was expecting for more. The war, as opposed to the climax, caused the entire theatre to cheer, applaud, and yell.

Regarding the film’s technical aspects. Without a doubt, the VFX are mind-blowingly stunning. You want to be one of the avatars and live in their world because they are so captivating. The background music for the movie is fairly good and fits the scene. The songs are touching and well put
.
Final Conclusion

It is acknowledged that this film has flaws, yet nothing prevents one from finding it entertaining. It has been a movie that all Avatar fans have been awaiting, therefore it is only the justice to go and watch the film on big screen.
