Synopsis

Review

The film’s plot revolves around a young girl who comes from a dysfunctional family that abandoned her when she was young. The girl then supported herself. This film begins in the present and then moves to the past to help viewers understand what is going on in the present.

In terms of character performances, Daisy Edgar-Jones played Kay, the main character. She was undeniably outstanding; the innocence on her face, tinged with anger and helplessness, makes her the central focus of the film. Despite the fact that the supporting cast works hard to make this film what it is. Daisy emerged as its soul somewhere.

Although you feel connected to the story and the idea it tries to present throughout the film, the climax disappoints you in several ways. The film is based on a novel that has an amazing story and climax that this film fails to portray.

Film’s music: The film’s soundtrack was quite pleasing to the ears, and it also contributes to the necessary tension for the gravity of the situation.

Film’s technical aspects: The director has done a wonderful job of making everything understandable.

Conclusion:

If you have read the novel based on which the film is made, you will be disappointed. However, if you go in with a blank mind to watch a murder mystery, there is a chance you will enjoy its journey.
