Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan season 7 started with a bang last week and it continues to create a massive buzz in the town. After Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have graced the couch and grabbed eyeballs.
But, seems that the popular chat show is in trouble again. The Karan Johar hosted show is facing accusations of plagiarism and using content without giving due credit.
A writer-journalist took to her social media and revealed that in the show’s recent episode, which featured Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan, had used her ideas without giving them any credit or mention. The content was part of the game segment where Janhvi and Sara were asked to guess films.
To prove the same, along with small clip from the show, Manya tweeted, “So #KoffeeWithKaran lifted the IP I started at @iDivaOfficial and used the whole copy verbatim??? I came up with this concept and I had a lot of fun writing these but to not be credited just because it was frivolous is not acceptable!? If you lift the copy, give the credit.”
Her Instagram caption further read, “I have decided that I cannot let this go. I want credit for my work— it may not be world-changing work, but it is mine nonetheless.”
The writer also shared the screenshot of the article that had the question.
However, Karan Johar and the show team are yet to issue a statement on the same.
