The death of Popular singer KK sparked a political squabble between BJP and TMC

The death of Bollywood playback singer KK appears to have sparked a political squabble, with BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh aiming for the Mamata Banerjee-led Bengal government. He criticised the Kolkata administration for the “utter chaos” that occurred during the KK event.

Soon after returning from the event, the popular singer died at Kolkata’s Grand Hotel. During the concert, he complained about the heat.

The auditorium was nearly full. According to some reports, the venue was overcrowded as fans with and without passes packed into and around the auditorium to catch a sight of their favourite artist.

According to a fan, there was a large throng. “The auditorium had a seating capacity of 2,500-3,000 people. However, attendance was nearly doubled.”

The auditorium doors had broken off their hinges, and the guard rail bases had fractured as the large crowd pushed and forced their way in.
Among the various footage of the concert, a clip of KK appears to be grumbling about the heat in the theatre. He can be seen wiping his perspiration with a towel and then chatting to a team member while pointing upstairs, presumably towards the air conditioning.

Ghosh, in response to similar revelations, accused the administration of “failing to provide proper protection to celebrities” and “losing control over administration”. “Mismanagement creates this type of a situation when a celebrity visits. The administration has a responsibility to protect such celebrities,” he said.

“Just imagine the state inside the hall after the AC was switched off in such heat. I don’t know if he became ill due to that, eventually leading to his demise. It seems the government doesn’t have any control,” Dilip Ghosh added.

The West Bengal administration will honour the enormously popular KK with a gun salute.
