Popular playback singer KK breathed his last in Kolkata on May 31 at the age of 53. The singer was in Kolkata to perform live at the concert. After the concert, he went to his hotel room where he felt uneasy and was immediately rushed to hospital. His condition deteriorated, after which he was declared dead.
However, as per reports, as per eyewitnesses and the organizers of the show, the deceased singer was showing symptoms of uneasiness during his performance. “He was constantly requesting to switch off the spotlights and at intervals he was going backstage to take rest. However, not even once he expressed his desire to quit the show in between,” said one of the organizers.
His manager said, “KK said that he was having cramp feeling in his limbs and also asked me to switch off the car AC”.
According to police sources, his face and head bore injuries. To ascertain the actual cause of his death, an autopsy would be conducted at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday.
For the unversed, KK was a singer par excellence and had lent his voice in movies like Raees, Jannat, Om Shanti Om and Kites.
