Ranveer Singh lands into legal trouble after an FIR filed against him for his nude photoshoot

Ranveer Singh has gotten himself into even more trouble after filing an application with Mumbai Police on Monday to have a First Information Report (FIR) filed against him. According to an official, he is accused of “hurting sentiments of women” by posting nude photos on social media. An officer of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) situated in the east Mumbai neighbourhood of Chembur filed the complaint at the Chembur police station.

According to the official, the complaint claimed that the actor had wounded women’s feelings and disrespected their modesty through his images. The complaint requested that the actor be charged under the Information Technology Act and certain sections of the Indian Penal Code.

A section of the complaint application said, “….Ranveer Singh has posted the photos on his personal Instagram and Twitter accounts. This clearly shows that he has nothing to do with the Indian culture and he is least bothered about the people living in the country and abroad but his only concern is to earn crores of rupees by damaging the cultures and traditions of India.”

“The actors like Ranveer Singh can go to any extent for getting publicity. By doing this act, the actor has crossed all limits of a cultured and gentlemen person. I have two daughters and four other girls in my family and I kept saying them to not open any social media and google news.”

“In view of the above, I would like to lodge a complaint against Ranveer Singh under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code for outraging the modesty of women. As this act of the accused person created shame in the eyes of the Women’s at large and publishing and transmitting sexually explicit act material”, it read further.

“We received an application from a person associated with an NGO on Monday. No FIR is registered so far. We are enquiring,” the official said.

Ranveer Singh became the topic of the town recently after sharing naked images from his new photoshoot with a magazine. Ranveer can be seen posing naked on a Turkish mat in the pictures. The photos from the session quickly went viral on social media sites. In photos, Ranveer is seen posing on a Turkish rug, wearing nothing. In no time, the pictures for the shoot went viral on social media platforms.
