Raju Srivastava health update; Comedian is on ventilator, sources

Raju Srivastava, a comedian, experienced a minor heart attack while working out in the gym. According to reports, the comedian’s condition has deteriorated and he is now on a ventilator. After receiving the news, Raju Srivastava’s wife hurried to Delhi, and according to a leading news channel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath contacted Raju’s wife Shikha Srivastava and assured her of all ‘possible’ assistance.

CM Yogi Adityanath has also directed his officials to assist Raju Srivastava’s family in whatever manner they can as he battles for his life. Raju (58) was transported to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) and had angioplasty surgery. Raju was exercising in a gym in South Delhi.

He was walking on the treadmill when he collapsed due to some chest pain. The comedian’s trainer rushed him to the hospital, where he received rapid CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

According to a top news outlet, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is in frequent contact with the AIIMS director to inquire about Raju Srivastava’s health. The Minister even contacted Raju Srivastava’s wife for the same.

Raju Srivastava rose to prominence as a stand-up comedian through The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and has acted in Bollywood films such as Maine Pyaar Kiya, Baazigar, and Bombay To Goa, to mention a few. One of his well-known stand-up routines is ‘Gajodhar Bhaiya.’ Raju Srivastava is the current head of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.
