Mumbai: It’s no secret that Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are feuding. Kartik and Janhvi Kapoor were meant to star in KJo’s Dostana 2, which had already began filming. However, Dharma Productions announced that the picture would be recast in an official statement. Dharma Productions and Kartik have not provided any additional information on the situation.
Karan and Kartik have kept their distance since then. Kartik was also left out of Karan’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month. Kartik and Karan did, however, share a stage at an awards ceremony for the first time since their fallout, thanks to Varun Dhawan. Varun summons Kartik to the stage in a video uploaded on social media by a news portal to dance on a music from Karan’s next project, jugg jug Jeeyo.
The video also features Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Ayushmaan Khurrana, and Maniesh Paul, among others. Soon after, Karan Johar appears on stage, and the entire cast performs a dance routine to the song The Punjaabban. Kartik, on the other hand, does not dance.
Kartik also discussed his dispute with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions last month. When questioned if an incident like this could damage him due to his lack of experience in the film industry, Kartik replied, ““I just focus on my work. That’s all I would like to say on this. Look at my (film) line-up (right now).”
Kartik Aaryan is currently enjoying the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on the professional front. He will soon be seen alongside Kriti Sanon in Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada. He’s also working on Captain India, Freddy, and Sajid Nadiadwala’s untitled follow-up.
