Emraan Hashmi dismisses rumours of getting attacked by miscreants in Srinagar

Mumbai| A few weeks ago, filmmaker Tejas Deoskar’s and Emraan Hashmi started filming for their action film Ground Zero, in Srinagar. The actor shared a picture on Instagram and said that it would be his first time visiting the place. 

After wrapping up their schedule in Srinagar, the cast and crew travelled to Pahalgam, where they are currently filming. Several reports surfaced yesterday claiming that miscreants attacked the actor and other crew members and threw stones at them in Pahalgam. However, Emraan Hashmi has now dismissed these reports, calling them ‘inaccurate.’

According to reports, the attack occurred on September 18, in the evening, after the shooting had done. However, Emraan Hashmi has now taken to Twitter to clarify that no such thing occurred and that reports of stone pelting are baseless.  Emraan Hashmi tweeted in response to the reports, “The people of Kashmir have been very warm and welcoming, it has been an absolute joy shooting in Srinagar and Pahalgam. The news of me being injured in a stone pelting incident is inaccurate .”

On the work front, In addition to Ground Zero, Emraan Hashmi will appear in Selfiee alongside Akshay Kumar, Nushrat Bharuccha, and Diana Penty. It is the official remake of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s 2019 Malayalam film Driving Licence. Tiger 3 will also feature Emraan Hashmi, Salman Khan, and Katrina Kaif.
