Mumbai: Babil Khan, Bollywood’s newest wunderkind, has received excellent reviews for his debut performance in the psychological drama Qala, which is now available on OTT.
Babil Khan, the son of late actor Irrfan Khan, has wowed reviewers with his raw, resonant portrayal of Jagan, a great vocalist in the 1930s. The emotional force of Babil’s performance has been hailed by critics, who have called him the year’s biggest find.
With his delicate, confident, and genuine portrayal of Jagan’s terrible journey, the novice has captured hearts. While many have compared Babil to his legendary father, he has also been praised for his individuality and freshness. He’s been named one of the most promising newcomers to the film business this year!
A humbled Babil Khan says, “I am so overwhelmed by the response to Qala and my performance! I had never imagined my first wobbly baby step into the world of acting would be received like this. I hope to keep on surprising the audience and I can’t wait for new and exciting work to come my way.”
Anvitaa Dutt directed Qala, also stars Tripti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, Amit Sial, and Samir Kochhar.
