Rating: 2/5

Synopsis:

‘Code Name: Tiranga’ is an espionage action thriller about a spy on an unwavering and fearless mission for her country in a race against time where sacrifice is her only option.

Review:

The film begins with an introduction to the characters and quickly establishes a plot in which the two have fallen in love, followed by action scenes.

Despite the fact that the film contains an action-packed segment in which the agent Durga fights for her country and sacrifices herself in the process, things were really all over the place.

The film lacks everything that makes a film successful. There is nothing wrong with saying that this film offers nothing new that distinguishes it from any other film depicting ‘Desh-bhakti.’ The film attempted to maintain suspense but failed miserably to make it engaging.

When it comes to the cast’s performance, Parineeti literally does not act in the entire film. Playing an agent necessitates a certain amount of stiffness, which Parineeti sadly lacks. It is not incorrect to say that she was a poor fit for the film.

When it comes to Harrdy Sandhu, there is no explanation that can make us understand his presence. The writers attempted to make him the main character as well as Durga’s love interest, but his presence only added to the misery.

The fact that a good talent like Sharad Kelkar said yes to the film is a slap in the face, even though he did his part nicely.

It is clear that the actors tried but the film is simply just terrible, from the plot to the casting.

It is amusing to see RAW carrying out a mission for India with the code name being ‘Tiranga’ as if it is too difficult to crack.

With multiple unwanted pans throughout the film, you often lost focus of the scene. So really, there wasn’t much to look at even when we talk about the technical aspects. The songs were there to fill time and had nothing to do with the story.

Overall, the film fails to achieve the desired level of momentum. In fact, the film is unwatchable.
