Mumbai| Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Tuesday that people who are sitting in the back of a car without a seatbelt will soon be penalised. This law came in action two days after the tragic death of former Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry in a car accident near Mumbai.
Reacting to the new law, actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt took to her social media handle and shared her opinion. She wrote, “All this talk of seat-belts & air bags. Important? Yes! But more so is fixing potholes & damaged roads. When will the usage of substandard material to build our roads, highways, freeways be deemed criminal. Also maintaining those roads once built & inaugurated with pomp is key.”
Reacting to her tweet, netizens agreed with her opinion and supported what she said.
On the work front, Pooja had taken a break from acting for years and made a comeback with Alankrita Shrivastava’s Bombay Begum. She will next be seen in the upcoming psycho-thriller film ‘Chup’. Helmed by renowned filmmaker R Balki, the film casts Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
