Mumbai: The official social club of NMIMS University Mumbai is called Social Responsibility Forum (SRF). During the past 15 years, SRF has constantly worked to improve the lives of the less fortunate and raise awareness about important social concerns.

“Aarambh” has served as SRF’s premier event for the past 14 years. In Mumbai’s Bandra neighbourhood, a social marathon is being held. A crowd of about 2000 individuals attends the event, including participants from different professions, neighbourhoods, and cultural backgrounds, and each one makes a sincere attempt to contribute.

After a two-year hiatus, SRF is back with “Aarambh,” which will take place in BKC, Bandra, Mumbai on February 26, 2023, starting at 5 a.m. It will happen in partnership with “Sisters Living Works,” the social cause for this year is “An Effort towards Suicide Prevention.” According to the NGO, suicide rates in the nation can be significantly reduced by fostering greater community involvement, education, advocacy, and awareness. All the proceeds from the fundraiser will be utilized towards helping with the cause.

The club’s objective for this year is to increase public awareness of suicide prevention in order to inform people about the seriousness of ignoring mental health and suicide as well as to encourage a long and happy life.
SRF’s fundamental mission is to help individuals in need, and they prefer to take the initiative rather than make declarations.
