Ex-MLA sold Muram soil worth of crores in 2 Years

Dist. Administration’s negligence provoked illegal mining

Team Absolute | Rajgarh State government has announced so many schemes to curb the illegal mining but still the result in nil. Illegal mining is continues by domineering causing huge revenue loss to the state government. Recently, ex – BJP MLA from Khujner, District Rajgarh, Amar Singh Yadav was forced to stop illegal mining by villagers. Two years back Amar Singh Yadav started excavation of Muram (soil used to fill construction sites or in Road making) in village Chondipura, Tahsil Khujner, District Rajgarh. He used heavy pock lane machine for digging and Dumper trucks for transportation. In a span of 2 years he made huge amount of money without paying any royalty to the Mining or Revenue Department. He almost digged a hillock and created 30 feet gorge, approximately. Due to this, villagers lost their cattle and suffered economically. Actually the site of illegal mining is the area of grazing Land of the village, which they call Dungri, where the animals of the entire village come to graze. Angry with the death of their cattle, villagers reached to the mining site forced labourers to stop mining and called the ex – law maker Amar Singh Yadav. After reaching the site, Amar Singh told villagers that he got this government land on lease. When asked to show the lease documents, he failed to do so. After that he escaped from the site with his machinery and Labourers. Since then villagers are so angry and they are not in a mood to let the mining start even if government permits with legal documents.

Villagers have accused the local administration of Collusion. A villager told reporters that “whenever we indicated about the illegal mining issue, the officials replied that the land is on lease.” Meanwhile, Sarpanch Babulal said that, “he has never given his consent to the excavation on the said land. Whereas, as per the rules, if government issues a lease of a land, the written consent of concerned Sarpanch is necessary.

We don’t have any information that illegal mining was going on from 2 years. If it happened, administration will start probe and action will be taken.
