Avinash Tripathi, a well-known writer, lyricist, and director, was honoured with the Ashoka Award at a magnificent ceremony held at the India Habitat Centre in Delhi. Former Army General JJ Singh, former Minister of State for Home Subodh Kant Sahay, Senior IAS Joint Secretary, Government of India Saurabh Tiwari, AAFT University Chancellor Sandeep Marwah, and former BHU Vice Chancellor Rakesh Bhatnagar presented this honour to Avinash Tripathi. The ‘Charles Walter Council for Research and Innovation,’ a research and innovation organisation, honoured Avinash Tripathi with the prestigious award for his innovative writing and involvement in short films about social issues. It’s worth noting that Avinash has produced and directed over 750 short films. Avinash also writes scripts and songs for a number of major production companies. Aside from his artistic work, Avinash is a well-known face on key national channels and is known for his opinionated views on cinema, art, and politics.
