Hollywood : In ‘News of the World’ Tom Hanks plays Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd, an ex-military Captain who has gone on to be a deliverer of the news as a non-fiction storyteller. Back then, before the times of the internet, tv, radio, or even newspapers, news had to be told to people. Eventually, on his journey, he comes in contact with a young girl (Helena Zengel), just she doesn’t speak English. At a young age, her parent’s caravan was attacked and she was taken by a tribe of Kiowa people. Due to this, she doesn’t know English and is confused by his ways. Captain swears to take her to her biological aunt, and the two face challenges on the way, both nature, and man.
All in all, this looks like it could be good. Based on a best-selling novel, and has Tom Hanks clearly going after an Oscar, so who knows what could happen.‘News of the World’ releases in theaters on Christmas 2020, December 25, 2020.
