Naga Chaitanya’s film crew faces public backlash, reports

Karnataka: The crew of Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film encountered some bad weather while filming in Karnataka’s Mandya district. Venkat Prabhu wrote and directed the film, which is tentatively titled NC22.

According to a Kannada channel report, the film’s crew faced public backlash for erecting a bar near historical temples in Melukote. Melukote residents took issue with the film set and demanded that it be stopped immediately. According to the report, while the filmmakers obtained permission for the shoot, they may have broken certain rules in order to set up a bar near the temples. Following the protests, the sets are said to have been demolished. The makers of NC22, on the other hand, have yet to respond to the incident.

The film is being shot in both Tamil and Telugu at the same time. The film marks Venkat’s first collaboration with Chaitanya, as well as the director’s Tollywood debut. The previously released announcement poster suggested that Chaitanya could play a soldier in the film. Keerthy Shetty plays the female lead in the film.

In a first, legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja will collaborate on the film’s score.
