Mani Ratnam tested covid-19 positive, admitted to Apollo, Chennai

Mani Ratnam, the acclaimed director, recently tested positive for Covid-19. He has been admitted for treatment to a private hospital in Chennai. More information on Mani Ratnam’s health will be released soon. Suhasini Mani Ratnam, his wife and actress, has yet to reveal any information about him. Ponniyin Selvan, the director’s forthcoming feature, is now in production.

Mani Ratnam recently attended the Ponniyin Selvan teaser event, which took place on July 8. The filmmaker has been working hard on the film’s post-production.

Mani Ratnam tested positive for Covid-19, according to sources. He has been taken to the Apollo hospital in Chennai for treatment. Doctors have yet to release a medical update on his condition.

Mani Ratnam’s long-held ambition has been to turn the Tamil literary masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan into a film. After ten years, he was able to make his goal a reality. Ponniyin Selvan is scheduled to be released in two parts. The first instalment will be released in numerous languages on September 30.

The primary actors are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi. AR Rahman composed the music for this historical piece on the Chola empire. The film stars Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Kishore, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lekshmi.
