After retiring from international cricket two years ago, the legendary Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is preparing for his second innings with films. On the occasion of Diwali, MS Dhoni launched his production company. He plans to enter the Tamil film industry and finance his first film.
The film is marketed as a family film. The untitled film was conceived by his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni, who is also the managing director of the production house, and will be directed by Ramesh Thamilmani. He is best known for his novel Atharva- The Origin. The film’s title, lead actors, cast, and crew have yet to be revealed. They are expected to make their announcement very soon.
The production house said in a statement that the cricketer had a special bond with the people of Tamil Nadu and that it hoped to strengthen that bond even more by producing its first film in Tamil.
Dhoni has previously worked in agriculture, poultry, brewing, clothing, and the gym. Following that, he plans to become a producer with his own production company. According to reports, he is also planning to work with Thalapathy Vijay on his next project. There have been strong reports for a long time, but they must be waited for and watched. Dhoni has a large fan base in Tamil Nadu. Thala is the nickname given to the captain of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings by his Tamil fans.
Sakshi Dhoni, MS Dhoni’s wife, also owns a production house under her name. She also produced the popular documentary ‘Roar of the Lion,’ which was based on the Chennai Super Kings’ IPL matches.
