The Press Information Bureau has revealed the winners of the National Film Awards for 2022.
Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, said on Twitter on Friday morning that the prizes will be revealed on Friday evening after the jury members turned in their findings to the Ministry.
This is the first time in two years that the awards will be given out in person.
Ajay Devgn’s film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior receives the 68th National Picture Awards for best popular film offering pure enjoyment. Along with that Ajay Devgn shares the Best actor award with Suriya for Soorarai Pottru.
Last year on 67th National Awards, Apart from Kangana Ranaut and Manoj Bajpayee, south superstars Rajnikanth and Dhanush were also honoured with National Awards for their excellent contribution last year, while Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore got the Best Hindi Film Award. Kangana Ranaut was named best actress for her roles in Manikarnika and Panga. Manoj Bajpayee received the award for best actor. Manoj Bajpayee received the Best Actor Award.
