We live in a time where trends & hashtags are blown out of proportion: Aparshakti Khurana

Mumbai| Aparshakti Khurana recently appeared in the film Dhokha: Round D Corner, directed by Kookie Gulati, in which he played a terrorist named Haq Gul. Aparshakti spoke exclusively with Absolute Indian news about his preparation, the boycott trend, and much more.

Aparshakti stated that he was looking for something serious after seeing too much comedy in the past, which is why he agreed to play this character.

Talking about if he has planned something about his future the actor told us, “It all happened very naturally, and I’m taking things one step at a time. When I was planning my life and trying to put things into perspective, nothing went as planned, and just when I stopped planning, I got married that year and had Dangal. Things happen at their own pace in our profession, and you don’t choose your own pace; the audience does. So, instead of putting a lot of pressure on yourself just put your best foot forward.”

Later he also talked about the mixed reviews his film is getting and how is he dealing with it, “Touchwood, Films has received a few mixed reviews, but there have been no mixed reviews regarding my performance. I’d like to think that my performance was well received. In general, we as humans never accept and never settle, if you arrive somewhere at 6 p.m., people will still question whether you should come by 5. I usually try to be as normal as possible, but I am no different.”

While discussing the boycott trend and the north-south debate and if he fears them, “Not at all, these are merely temporary. We live in a time where trends and hashtags are blown out of proportion and die quickly. Similarly, someone recently started talking about south films vs. north films, but when we think about it, they only have three mass films. In addition to RRR, Pushpa, and KGF, we have Brahmastra, Kashmir files, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Every Friday, three more films fail in the south, but no one talks about it” the actor said.

On a parting note, the actor thanked his well-wishers for sticking around and showering him with love.
