On winning the show

Sharing her excitement about emerging as a winner and professionally how things have changed, Soundous said, “I am receiving great response and the feeling has not yet sunk in. But personally, I am concentrating on keeping myself grounded and focusing on what’s coming next. Professionally, I am getting more exposure and visibility from the audience which is essential in this industry. I am also being respected for my decisions.”

On being emotionally strong

Soundous, who was also a part of Roadies, shared that reality shows are emotionally taxing. Talking about how did she kept herself mentally strong, she said, “I think I need therapy right now. But I am not taking it. In reality shows you need to be emotionally strong. I did get weak at some moments, but then I just dealt with it by forgetting and moving on.”

On equation with Hamid Barkzi

Ever since the two were paired on the show, people are curious to know where Soundous and Hamid stand now. Opening up about discovering Hamid’s relationship post show, Soundous reacted, “We are not even friends now. We do follow each other on social media and communicate when necessary. But honestly, ever since I discovered that he has been dating, I just lost respect for him. I have not shared this as I don’t want to backlash or harm anyone’s image.”

On facing language issue

Hailing from Paris and being from finance background, Soundous pursued acting as she was passionate about it. She did face language barrier as well and became harsh on herself. “Language is still a problem for me. At some point, I even became harsh on myself to master it. But I eventually accepted the fact that learning a language takes time and I need to give it time.”

On future projects

When prodded about her interest in doing other reality shows, Soundous averred, “I don’t mind Bigg Boss, bit Khatron Ke Khiladi is like a dream for me. I even love Lock Upp for it’s concept and Kangana being the host. Beside, I have a movie, titled, Continuity. I also have an item number titled, Habibi.”
