Mumbai: Gandhi and Godse have always been an important part of Indian history. One is known for all of his good deeds, while the other is known for all of his bad.
Rajkumar Santoshi has decided to make a film about these two men in order to present both ideologies in their true form. The film ‘Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh’ tells the story of Gandhi and Godse.
Today, at the film’s trailer launch, the director reveals that he was very particular about not casting any stars for this film. He also denied that he approached Rajkumar Rao and Naseeruddin Shah for leads.
“I was very sure that I didn’t want to cast any of the big stars. All the news are wrong. Although I am very good friends with Nassir Sahab but I never approached any big name for a role in the film.”
To note, Rajkumar’s daughter will be making her acting debut with this film. She will be playing a fictional character in the movie.
