Kartik Aaryan has been riding high on the success of his recent horror comedy flick, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, in which he co-starred Kiara Advani and Tabu. The film has already surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office in its second week. According to a recent media claim, Kartik has increased his pay to 35-40 crore per film following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

The Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor has now responded to the story, denying the reports of a price increase. Taking to Twitter, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, saying, “Promotion hua hai life mein. Increment nahi. Baseless.” On Sunday, the actor thanked his fans for their support as his film passed the 100-crore mark.

He shared a snapshot of himself beaming with excitement on his social media account. “100 crore wali smile (folded hands & heart emojis) #BhoolBhulaiyaa2,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which also stars Rajpal Yadav, Amar Upadhyay, Sanjay Mishra, Milind Gunaji, and Karmveer Choudhary in supporting parts. It is a standalone sequel to the popular Priyadarshan film of the same name from 2007, which starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja.

On the job front, the Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor has a number of intriguing projects in the works. The actress will next appear in Shehzada, a remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which also stars Kriti Sanon. Following that, he will star alongside Alaya F. in Shashanka Ghosh’s romantic thriller Freddy. Apart from that, Kartik has the Sajid Nadiadwala-produced romance Satyanarayan Ki Katha in the works, as well as a social drama Captain India with Hansal Mehta.
