The festival of colours, Holi is celebrated across the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. It is celebrated in different ways with uniqueness.
In an exclusive interview with Absolute India News, actress Priya Ahuja Rajda who is known for her stint as Rita reporter in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah revealed why this Holi is special for her.

When asked about how the actress will celebrate the festival this year she said, “I am excited this time since my son is grown up and he is aware about what colours are. In our vicinity there are arrangements of dry holi ensuring no wastage of water and playing with organic colours. Because this is something owing to which I had stopped playing Holi long back. A beautiful play area has been set up for kids where fun activities are organised so I am excited to play this kind of Kid’s holi this time’.

Sharing her fond holi memory actress said, “My dad had worked in railways so we had big bunglows allotted by railway personnel where we had big water tanks of cement. So we kids around there used to drench each other in water.”

Talking about her favorite food Priya said, “Gujia is what reminds me of Holi, so yeah I always have it on Holi. I feel the festival is incomplete without some mouth-watering Gujiyas.”

Sharing some easy tips for hair and skincare during Holi celebrations Priya advised to apply oil and sunscreen before moving out to play Holi.

She also urged people to take care of pets and animals around while playing holi. She said, “Play safe holi and my biggest request is that do take care of yourself. Take care of pets and animals around you. Don’t put colors or throw water balloons on them since it’s not meant for them as it can be harmful for them.
