Janhvi Kapoor: “I’m just asking them (people) to look at me with an open mind ”

Mumbai: Janhvi Kapoor has established herself as one of the industry’s most skilled actresses. She made her acting debut in the romantic drama film Dhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan and starring Ishaan Khatter, in 2018. She has carved a path into the hearts of her fans and made her imprint in the industry. The actress is the oldest daughter of late actress Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor. Janhvi, like any other star kid, is frequently mocked for being fortunate in the industry.

Janhvi recently went on to an RJ show Aur Batao and discussed the much-discussed subject of nepotism. She stated that she has accepted that people would never accept her due to her privilege and nepotism. “It’s surprising and very heartening with how lovely and appreciative people have been because honestly, I didn’t realise how desperate I had been for this feeling that audience accepts me. I think that has happened to some extent with Good Luck Jerry but there is a long way to go,” Janhvi said

The actress acknowledged her advantages and stated that just because her troubles in life haven’t been putting food on the table or waiting in line to audition for a film doesn’t mean she hasn’t faced difficulties. Janhvi stated that these have been incredibly unrelatable trials, but hardships nonetheless, and she does not want sympathy from anyone. “I’m just asking them to look at me with an open mind because I do work and try hard to entertain people,” said the actress.
Meanwhile, the Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl star is enjoying the success of her most recent film, Good Luck Jerry. She will then appear in Bawaal, Mili, and Mr & Mrs Mahi.
