It’s wonderful to work with great actors: Ajay Devgn

Mumbai| After keeping the nation hooked with its murder mystery in 2015 with Drishyam, the makers will soon be back with the thrilling sequel. The trailer was unveiled by the makers at a grand launch event in Goa amidst the presence of the cast and makers in the film.

At the trailer launch event, Ajay Devgn remembered director Nishikant Kamat.

He further spoke about how the character of Vijay Salgaonkar left an indelible mark and connected with the audience. Ajay said, “He is a common man who got trapped in an unusual circumstance. And anyone would choose the way he did to get out of the situation and protect his family. I think that connected with the audience. Also, he was not much qualified and still, but he smartly tackled the problem. That as well is the USP.”

 The actor and Akshaye Khanna shared a similar camaraderie in Deewangi during 2000 and now in Drishyam. Talking about working with Akshaye in Drishyam, Ajay asserted, “its fun as we share a great rapport. Also, it’s wonderful to work with great actors as they bring out the best in you also. We needed somebody like him.”

The film is a remake of a popular Malayalam film which is available on OTT. Talking about retaining the soul and freshness Part 2 has, Ajay said, “The film is treated in a different manner. A lot of changes are made and new characters are also added. The soul is retained. When you watch the film, it’s going to be a fresh experience.”
