The IIFA Awards 2022 have been rescheduled owing to the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday, May 13. As per reports, the event has been rescheduled for July.
The 22nd season of the IIFA Awards, which was scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, has been rescheduled. The UAE has declared 40 days of mourning following the death of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As a result, the IIFA Awards have been moved back. The event has now been rescheduled for July 14, 15, and 16, in Abu Dhabi.
IIFA’s official Twitter account also expressed condolences on the demise of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) “With the sad news of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, passing away we share our deepest condolences with his family and the people of UAE. May God have mercy on him and grant him eternal peace (sic),” read the tweet.
