Mumbai: Diljit Dosanjh is synonymous with great music, a cracking sense of humour and his prolific acting skills. The Punjabi pop star has slowly and steadily spread his wings across India and become a much loved star.
Apart from making fans groove to his music, Diljit also has acted in a number of Punjabi films. He widened his fan base when he stepped into Bollywood back in 2016 with Udta Punjab.

Soorma
Diljit had the enormous challenge of bringing light on the life of hockey hero Sandeep Singh in his debut biographical film and fourth Hindi film. Without a doubt, he passed with flying colours. Even if some people didn’t like the movie, everyone agreed that Diljit was the ideal actor for the role.
Udta Punjab
In Abhishek Chaubey’s 2016 black comedy crime drama, which sheds light on drug abuse cases in Punjab, Diljit’s Sartaj is a corrupt junior police inspector who is happy to receive bribes from drug mafias until it affects his family. Udta Punjab marks Diljit’s Bollywood debut alongside established Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor.
Good Newzz
Diljit’s portrayal of Honey Batra, one of his biggest hits in his career, won over his fans’ hearts. His incredible comic timing and boisterous persona worked wonders for the movie.
Jogi
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Diljit Dosanjh essayed the titular role. Based on riots in Punjab in 1980s, audience were moved by Diljit’s effortless portrayal.
