Darshan Kumar: I always pray to get an excellent cast

The self-proclaimed godman Baba Nirala returns for ten more episodes in Prakash Jha’s famous series Aashram’s third season. To prevent upsetting anyone, the series is now officially titled Ek Badnaam…Aashram.

In Conversation with the cast of Aashram season 3, Absolute India news asked them some interesting questions. To which the actors gave some bold replies.

When asked about her part and how she feels about the series actress Anurita Jha quipped, “I was a little apprehensive since it was a dark series and I was in a deeper place where there is no room. As actors, we must become the blood and heart of the character, adapting it to our own experiences that caused us to feel anguish. In the role, I felt degraded, and it wounded me at times.”

Speaking about his character, Adhyaan stated that his part as Tinka Singh would be much greater than what we have seen in the first two chapters. Later, he said that because of his ineffective career, he went to babas and tried everything. The actor also talks about Nothing, according to the performer, determines which character will work, and Tinka Singh is an example.

Moving on, when we discussed Chandan Roy Sanyal’s role as Bhopa Swami, the actor remarked that his character has several facets. He also shared that being on the set of filmmaker Prakash Jha has been a thrilling experience for him.

Darshan revealed that he always wishes for an excellent cast. “I believe that when we work with an outstanding cast, our workload is cut in half because their amazing performance enhances your performance and allows you to learn a lot.”

Talking about the trauma a character can bring Darshan shed insight on how he spent restless nights while shooting Kashmir files since he had to view all the footage and talk to individuals on a sensitive issue.

To keep the intrigue alive, the actors of Aashram 3 didn’t divulge much about their characters, but they all remarked how much fun they had filming together and how they still talk on video calls.

For the unversed, Aashram season 3 premiered on an OTT platform on 3rd June.
