Dalip Tahil on Amitabh Bachchan: Just by his presence, he can make a difference in people’s lives

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 80th birthday today and this day is no less than a festival for his fans. His co-stars have also been extending warm wishes for the legendary actor.  

Veteran actor Dalip Tahil has been a part of the film industry for decades and over the years, he has given many amazing performances. He has shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in movies such as Ajooba, God Tussi Great Ho and Aakhri Rasta. On the special occasion, he wished him and recalled a fond memory.

Talking about what he learnt from him while working with him, Dalip shared, “What I admire the most is his efficiency. His work ethic, including his habit of being punctual, is exemplary. But along with that, everything else also was something to learn from and to imbibe. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him in the early part of my career.”

Revealing two of his favourite film of the megastar, Dalip gushed, “There are so many films of him that I like, but to name a few, I like Deewar and Amar Akbar Anthony.”

On a parting note, he recalled Amitabh Bachchan attending his wedding and quipped, “When we were shooting for Aakhri Rasta in 1985, I informed him about my wedding. In his signature style, he assured me to attend. Surprisingly, amidst unfavourable weather conditions, his aircraft landed and everyone was gobsmacked by his presence.“

 “That is the kind of human being he is. Just by his presence, he can make a difference in people’s lives”, Dalip added.
