Anushka Sharma slams a brand for using her image without taking her consent

Anushka Sharma is not pleased with Puma India’s social media post on athletic wear. Anushka could be seen wearing the brand’s clothes in a post that was shared on the company’s Instagram account.

The actor has requested that Puma India remove their post, as they did not obtain her consent before publishing it on their page. Anushka uploaded a photo of herself on her Instagram story with the caption, “Hey Puma India, I am sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I am not your brand ambassador. Please take it down,” she concluded her post with two angry emojis.

As soon as Anushka posted her angry message on social media, Puma’s post was flooded with comments from Anushka’s supporters. Despite the fact that Anushka’s husband and cricketer Virat Kohli also liked the Puma post, the entire situation can potentially be some sort of marketing ploy.

Anushka Sharma will return to acting sometime the next year in the Jhulan Goswami biopic Chakda Xpress, which is based on the cricketer’s life.

Note, before this Amitabh Bachchan appealed the New Delhi High Court for asking brands to not use his voice or image without permission.
