Anshuman Jha, Ridhi Dogra, and Milind Soman play the main characters in the action-thriller, which is touted as India’s first movie about an animal lover vigilante. The film, which tells the narrative of Indian breeds in Kolkata, was shot by French DOP Jean-Marc-Selva, and Kecha Khamphakdee planned the action. The movie promises to delight everyone who likes animals and action and bring the Israeli martial art form “Krav-Maga” to India in all its power.
“‘Animals & Action films are two of my biggest passions & I am grateful that our film which is set in Kolkata will have its India Premiere at KIFF 2022 & its World Premiere at the pet capital of the World New York City,” says Anshuman Jha, who had the opportunity to train with Tsahi Shemesh (Who Also Trained the Avengers Cast for Falcon & The Winter Soldier) for the movie. The film Lakadbaggha tells the tale of an ordinary youngster who embarks on an incredible trip because he believes that his superpower is his love of animals
Anshuman Jha continues and shares, “I am glad we have made this film & the journey has taken 18 months of my life which will now culminate in New York & Kolkata. And the release in 2023. I am grateful & humbled to premiere our film at KIFF&SAIFF respectively.”
Directed by Victor Mukherjee the film is expecting a World Wide Release in early 2023.
