Ajay Devgn on Amitabh Bachchan: He has done shots we can’t even imagine

The trailer of Ajay Devgn’s and Tabu’s much-awaited film Bholaa was unveiled by the makers at a grand event today. It was showcased in IMAX format and looked like a visual spectacle. The film is all set to release on 30 March 2023.

At the trailer launch event, Ajay Devgn spoke about how he attempts to create something new with action films. He shared, “Most action films we see in our country have fabulous action, but they are either inspired or have a resemblance of sequences from western films. So specially when action is concerned, my whole intention is to create something new and execute in a different way. We need to create something of our own and stylize it while keeping in Indian and not westernizing it.”

Reacting to Big B’s injury news and safety measures taken on sets while shooting action, Ajay averred, “Our job is difficult and easy. When Mr Bachchan started doing action, safety measures weren’t there. Amitabh Bachchan has done shots we can’t even imagine. I remember him getting injured during Major Saab also. We had to jump from three floors high. I told him let’s not do the shot, it’s a night sequence so we could use body doubles, we both were there in the scene. But he insisted on doing it, that’s just his enthusiasm.”

Speaking about the safety measures on sets, Ajay added, “Now things are lot more easier. There are a lot of safety precautions. There are ambulances on set, doctors on set, there are paddings,so it’s become easier and thank God for that. While we are aging, things are getting easier also. We try to take all the safety measures but there are some risks to it.”

During the interaction, Ajay Devgn was asked about the box office numbers for Bholaa to which he replied, “Right now I am not thinking about release. I am thinking about concentrating and finishing the quality of the film. Even the post-production, a little bit is left so whatever is left we are doing. I do not know when I will start thinking about the release. Ya but we just has Pathaan this year which has done fabulous business, historic business. So just fingers crossed that all the next releases will do well and Bholaa will also be doing well.
