After several delays, actor Adivi Sesh’s film ‘Major’ is due to release on June 3 and will compete at the box office with Akshay Kumar’s historical drama ‘Prithviraj.’
The film ‘Major,’ which celebrates Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s energy and recounts his life’s various phases, was set to premiere in theatres on May 27.
The directors, on the other hand, appear to be trying to avoid a collision with Venkatesh and Varun Tej’s upcoming film ‘F3’.
Adivi announced via Twitter: “Date has been changed somewhat. A WEEK LATER, THE SUMMER HEAT WAVE is released in theatres. 3rd of June”
‘Major’ is now scheduled to compete with ‘Prithviraj,’ a historical period drama that will be released on June 3rd.
The Akshay Kumar-starrer has also been rescheduled multiple times.
It was originally set to be released on January 21 but was postponed because of the country’s Omicron-fueled Covid-19 wave.
The film’s producers later announced a new release date of June 10th.
The makers of ‘Prithviraj’ finally settled on June 3 as the release date.
