Actor-Filmmaker Satish Kaushik Passes Away at the Age of 66, Anupam Kher and Kangana Ranut pay trubute

MUMBAI: Satish Kaushik actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter, has breathed his last at 67.

Mr Kaushik died after a heart attack on the way to the hospital. He was reportedly complaining of Acidity.

The sudden death of actor-director Satish Chandra Kaushik today shocked the Hindi film industry. Several artistes recalled their memories with the actor, who popularly played the role of ‘Calendar’ in Anil Kapoor-starrer Mr India, and paid their tributes on social media.

His friend Anupam Kher confirmed the news on Twitter.
He wrote, “I know “death is the ultimate truth of this world!” But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”

Subhash Ghai took to Twitter to share an old photo with Satish Kaushik and wrote, “It’s just shattering that we lost our one best friend #DEAR SATISH – a man who always laughed even in worst crisis and stood by anyone in his crisis “ A great artiste.Greater human being greatest friend I know🙏🏽 left us so sudden so soon.”

Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter to express her grief at the demise of Satish Kaushik. She tweeted, “Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti (sic)”.

On the work front, the actor was supposed to appear in upcoming comedy show Pop Kaun. He was also a part of Kangana Ranaut’s emergency.
