Superstar Aamir Khan has turned another year wiser on March 14. The actor needs no introduction as his decades-long career is enough for it. From Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, Ghajini, Dhoom 3 to Dangal and PK, the actor has proved his acting prowess time and again. He is termed as Mr Perfectionist of the industry and works day in and day out to give justice to his roles.

1.  Aamir's father was not very inclined on the actor to pursue an acting career. After he joined a theatre group called Avantar and worked there for two years, he decided to take up acting as a career. 

2.  Did you know that Mr. perfectionist Aamir Khan was an avid Tennis player? According to reports, Aamir Khan wanted to be a lawn tennis player and he was superb at the game.

3.  Did you know that Aamir Khan was approached to play the role of Sunil Dutt in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju? However, Aamir turned it down because he wanted to play Sanjay Dutt! 

4.  Everyone knows that Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan doesn’t attend award shows but there is a reason behind it. Aamir used to love award functions but when he lost the Best Actor award to Sunny Deol in Ghayal in 1990, his perspective towards them changed.

5.  One of the main reasons why Chinese markets opened up to Indian films was due to Khan. Lagaan was the first Indian film which was released all over China.
