A fire broke out at a film set in Andheri (West) on Friday afternoon, according to a civic official.
The fire broke out around 4.30 p.m. at a film set installed at Chitrakoot Ground, next to the Andheri Sports Complex, she said. Initially, officials said the fire started in a nearby shop, but they later confirmed that it was on a film set.
Plumes of black smoke could be seen billowing from the location. According to the official, no one had been injured.
Ten fire engines and two water tanks have been dispatched to the scene. Firefighting operations are currently underway.
Furthermore, due to the fire, vehicular traffic has been diverted from Veera Desai Road to IOC via Dattaji Salvi Road, Chitrakot to IOC (direct). The north and south bound roads from Fortyard to Chitrakoot are closed, according to the Mumbai Traffic Police.
