Survey of each field should be conducted with honesty and fairness: CM

Bhopal :Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inspected the crops affected by floods in several villages of Raisen tehsil. Later, interacting with farmers and villagers in Pagneshwar, Chouhan said that they need not worry, the government stands with them. All possible assistance will be given to those affected by floods to overcome the crisis. Chouhan instructed the officers that every field should be surveyed with honesty and fairness, no affected person should be left out in the survey. The Chief Minister inspected the flood affected crops in village Medhki, Pagneshwar, Dhaniyakhedi, Dhaubakhedi as well as Tajpur Sur and interacted with the farmers.

Chouhan said that my first priority was that there should be no loss of life in the floods and we are satisfied that even in such a catastrophic flood, no death has caused. We have succeeded in saving people’s lives. The flood victims will be compensated for their losses. He said that due to incessant rains and floods in Raisen, Hoshangabad, Sehore, I stayed awake all night to monitor the relief and rescue operations. Earlier, SDERF, NDRF teams and then Army was called for rescue work. People were also evacuated to safer places from the flood affected areas. More than 13 thousand people stranded in the floods in the state have been rescued.

Chouhan said that he has information of every area and has instructed the administration to conduct surveys and provide prompt assistance in all areas. He said that the damage caused to the crops will be compensated. Those whose houses have been damaged will also be extended all possible relief. Chouhan informed that the date of Crop Insurance Scheme has been extended in five districts of the state, which includes Raisen district also. Farmers of the district will now be able to join the crop insurance scheme till September 7. He said that all necessary steps have been taken to prevent and control Corona pandemic in the state. Health services are being expanded in hospitals by providing all necessary resources including ventilators and medicines etc.
