Mukhya Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana will prove blessing for small farmers

Team Absolute|Bhopal Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing Cabinet Members before the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, said that 77 lakh farmers of the state are given total Rs. 6 thousand per farmer in 3 instalments of Rs. 2 thousand each every year under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now, the Madhya Pradesh government, while taking a big decision in the interest of the farmers has decided to give them a total of Rs. 4000 every year in two instalments of Rs. 2 thousand, on behalf of the state government. The total amount of the Central and State government schemes will now become Rs. 10 thousand. ‘Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’ will benefit all farmers of the state. This scheme will prove to be a blessing, especially for small farmers. CM Chouhan said that 70 lakh farmers of the state are receiving benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Madhya Pradesh government will give benefit of Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to each farmer in the state after conducting a survey of farmers. The estimated number of land holding farmers in the state is One crore. CM Chouhan said that the distribution of the first installment of Samman Nidhi to the farmers under Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will take place on the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. On Friday, the September 25, the Chief Minister himself will transfer the amount in the farmers’ accounts from Bhopal and Ministers as well as other public representatives will transfer the amount in programmes, to be organized in other districts. Chouhan said that the government is providing full security cover to the farmers of the state. Madhya Pradesh government is taking decisions one after another in the interest of farmers. The scheme was introduced first to provide crop loans to farmers at zero percent interest rate. Then the amount of last year’s crop insurance was deposited in their accounts. Today, Kisan credit cards were distributed to remaining 67 thousand farmers, livestock farmers and fish breeders of the state. Along with this, financial assistance amount of Rs. 800 crore was transferred to the accounts of cooperative societies. Now farmers will be benefited under the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Soon, credit cards will also be distributed to the horticulture farmers of the state, he added. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, while informing about the process of the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, said that information of farmers to be benefitted will be registered on Kisan Samman Nidhi portal. Patwaris will verify the information in their respective areas. Farmers are required to give applications only once, physically to the Patwari concerned. Further processing will be done on mobile itself. Information regarding amount transferred will be received by the farmers on their mobiles. Chouhan has instructed that the process of this scheme should be started from tomorrow itself, so that the transfer of amount can be started in the farmers’ accounts on September 25.
