Mumbai: Kamal Haasan, who was last seen on the big screen in the blockbuster ‘Vikram: The Legend,’ is also active in the television industry as the host of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. However, recent reports indicate that he intends to leave the show.

According to a renound website, Kamal Haasan is planning to leave Bigg Boss Tamil after the sixth season, which is currently airing. The star host is expected to make an official announcement following the grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil, which is set to take place in January 2023. According to the publication, Kamal Haasan is not interested in continuing with the show, despite the makers’ offers.

The legendary actor’s decision is said to be motivated by his boredom as a host. The recent season’s low TRP has also disappointed Kamal Haasan. As a result, Ulaganayan intends to devote his time to his acting career and focus on his upcoming projects.

Kamal Haasan is currently in the midst of filming Indian 2, the highly anticipated sequel to his 1996 blockbuster Indian. In the Shankar-directed film, he plays both freedom fighter Senapathi and his father. The highly anticipated teaser for Indian 2 is set to be released on New Year’s Eve. The actor-director team is expected to complete the film by March 2023.

For his 234th film, Kamal Haasan will collaborate with veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The film, tentatively titled KH 234, is set to begin production in the second half of 2023. Later, he will work with Lokesh Kanagaraj again on Vikram 2. For his upcoming films, the actor is also expected to collaborate with young filmmakers H Vinoth and Mahesh Narayanan.
