Swara Bhasker on boycott Bollywood, calls it “profitable business”

Mumbai| Swara Bhasker wears her heart on her sleeve and never shies away from expressing her opinions. Currently, every second film in Bollywood is falling prey to the boycott trend.

Recently, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer magnum opus Brahmastra also found itself in hot waters after a video of Ranbir Kapoor’s beef-eating comment went viral. Due to this, Ranbir and Alia were also restricted to enter Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

A day after the incident, Swara Bhaskar took to her social media handle and shared the screenshot of a tweet that urged people to not waste money on watching Brahmastra. Along with the post, she wrote, “The profitable business of ‘Boycott Bollywood’”.

A few days ago, Swara had shared her take on the ongoing boycott trend on social media against Bollywood, and said that she did not think it was a major reason behind films not doing well at the box office.

Talking about Brahmastra, the flick is all set to release on 9th September and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
