Synopsis

A classic story about a patriotic man who neglects the rules and will go to any length to protect his country and his people from any threats that may endanger them.

Review

The film begins with an action-packed sequel in which the world meets Pathaan. A soldier who pushes the boundaries and rules. This film is significant not because of anything new that we haven’t seen before, but because it marks Shah Rukh’s return to the big screen after a four-year absence.

The film is not a low-key action drama, but it does have a repetitive basic plot. Salman Khan’s cameo is the icing on the cake for this high-octane action sequel. It’s a visual treat to see two Khans sharing screen space. If you are a movie buff, it will make your heart skip a beat

The presence of Khan in a film can elevate it from ordinary to extraordinary. Although Shah Rukh’s witty side will make you laugh, a few dialogues will make you wonder who wrote them.

The first half of the film is more concerned with glorifying the characters’ appearances than with telling a story, which is fun to watch. The first 40-45 minutes after Salman’s cameo in the second half drag the movie’s graph down, but it re-establishes the grip on audiences in the final 20 minutes. You cannot, without a doubt, ask for an action-packed entertainer while also demanding a coherent story. It’s a movie for the masses, and it should be treated as such.

In terms of acting, the film stars John Abraham as an antagonist with a decent backstory. I think John did a good job adapting the character and delivering what was required.

When it comes to Deepika, she appears to be a little restricted, which serves as a disappointment. Her presence appears to be underwhelming somewhere.

When it comes to Shah Rukh Khan, his presence on screen always makes people go crazy and looking at him in a hot and dashing spy avatar is the cherry on top.

Important note: the film will have something for you at the end. The film includes a sweet post-credits surprise for all of the fans.

In terms of the film’s background score and songs, there are only two, and both of them are good enough to make you groove. Despite the fact that Besharam Rang has better moves and lyrics. Jhoome Jo Pathan is also pleasing to the ears.

Moving on to the most important aspect of the film, the team has done an excellent job of creating action sequels and playing beautifully with VFX. This film contains an insane amount of VFX, making it critical for them to be flawless; a single mistake could have ruined the fun.

If we look closely, the film does have scenes that will remind you of Tiger or Happy New Year, but overall it is a good comeback.

Conclusion

Without a doubt, regardless of the flaws, this film must be seen. After all, it’s the Shah’s sahab on the big screen again after a four-year hiatus.
