In the upcoming episode of Naam Reh Jayegaa, we will see the great Lata Mangeshkar’s life story and learn more about her relationship with singer Mukesh Ji. Nitin Mukesh is the son of India’s most famous vocalist. Mukesh becomes upset as he recalls the young Lata Di, who wore white, looked beautiful and sang like Ma Saraswati.
“Mukeshji used to call Lataji ‘Didi,’ ” Nitin Mukesh recalls his father Mukesh Ji’s relationship with the legendary vocalist Lata Ji. He used to tell me that I should call her Didi so that future generations know not to call her by her name.
Getting more sentimental, Nitin Mukes said, ” Didi knew my father Mukeshji from the age of 14-15 years. She used to tie rakhi to my father as a sister would. I remember I was 4-5 years old and would accompany my father to the song recording studios just to get a glimpse of her. She was a thin, beautiful woman who used to wear a white saree and used to have 2 plaits and would sing like Ma Saraswati.”
Eighteen of India’s biggest singers, including Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Nitin Mukesh, Neeti Mohan, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam, Udit Narayan, Shaan, Kumar Sanu, Amit Kumar, Jatin Pandit, Javed Ali, Aishwarya Majumdar, Sneha Pant, Pyarelal Ji, Palak Muchhal and Anwesha join hands to pay tribute to the legendary Lata Mangeshkar.
