Mumbai| Katrina Kaif is one of the most gorgeous actresses in Bollywood and there is no denying this fact. She has successfully carved a niche for herself in the industry and proved her mettle time and again on the big screen.
The diva is gearing up for her upcoming release Phone Bhoot alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The actress interacted with the media ahead of release.
On women taking the baton
During the interaction, Absolute India News asked Katrina her opinion on females taking the baton and doing better roles than before. Sharing her thoughts on the same, Katrina stated, “I believe women have been taking up the baton since the days of Sridevi, Madhuri, and Rekha. That, I believe, is consistent. We’ve seen incredible performances as well. Women have that power and place in cinema, and it has remained that way for me.”
On working on OTT
About OTT, the actress said, “OTT or any other method of distribution for a film is never an issue for me. I believe there are many things in my heart that I would like to do, such as being a superhero or doing an action film with an emotional connection. If that is offered to me and I am given an opportunity like that on a certain platform, I see no barriers.”
On Jee Le Zaraa shoot
Talking about when the shoot of Jee Le Zaraa might begin, the actress revealed, “At different times the film has been moved for various reasons but we will make this film. It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s time together. So as of right now, I will believe this film is scheduled for the end of next year.”
On being ridiculed for her accent
On a parting note, the actress spoke about being ridiculed for her accent and said, “I think my Hindi is never going to be as fluent as yours. I have accepted that fact. More than it, it’s about having fun and not taking yourself too seriously.”
