Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are two of Bollywood’s most famous couples. Fans adore their chemistry and their love story. They appeared in several films together before marrying on June 3, 1973. Next year, the couple will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. But did you know Amitabh Bachchan had a condition before marrying the actress? She revealed it on the podcast ‘What The Hell Navya’ hosted by Navya Naveli Nanda.
Jaya stated that the couple decided to marry in October because Jaya would have completed her work commitments by then. She goes on to say that Bachchan told her that he does not want a wife who works from 9 to 5.
Jaya was also asked to work by the Uunchai actor, but not every day. In addition, choose projects and collaborate with the right people. It’s worth noting that their wedding took place at Jaya’s Godmother’s home in Mumbai.
Jaya Bachchan also revealed why their wedding was postponed. She stated that they needed to go on a trip because of Zanjeer’s success. And Amitabh Bachchan’s parents forbade them from taking a vacation before marriage. As a result, they pushed it back to June.
The actress will appear in the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
