Mumbai : After the incredible success of India’s Best Dancer – Season 1, Sony Entertainment Television is back with India’s Best Dancer – Season 2! This season promises to double the excitement with exceptional artists coming from across the nation, who will put their best ‘dancing’ foot forward. Dibbay Das, who originally hails from Silchar, Assam, impressed the judges with his performance in the audition round. However, life hasn’t been exactly easy for Dibbay. To follow his passion for dance, he ran away from his village three years ago and came to Mumbai – the city of dreams and try his luck.

Now, Dibbay is a dancer by passion but a delivery boy by profession. Ironically, while he toils day and night to deliver food to others, he himself has to go to the langar to get his two square meals. Dibbay has to struggle every day to make the ends meet as he also continues to practice and hone his dancing skills. With his relentless hard-work and the support of his mother, Dibbay finally found his way to the stage of India’s Best Dancer, Season 2.The earnest story of this young boy from Assam managed to strike a chord in the heart of all the three judges – Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis.

While sharing about his journey, Dibbay stated how at times when he goes to deliver the food, and the customers do the small gesture of offering him water, it just makes his whole day because for him, that is the biggest act of kindness. Upon hearing this, choreographer and dance maestro Geeta Kapur remarked, “Often, when food gets delivered to our doorsteps, we don’t even remember to acknowledge or ‘thank’ the delivery person. However, now I will make sure that I don’t forget to do that ever.” Geeta maa’s one simple comment made Dibbay smile ear to ear.

On receiving such heartwarming feedback, an overjoyed Dibbay Das, shares, “All the remarks that I have managed to earn on the India’s Best Dancer are because of my mother who believed in me, identified and encouraged my talent of dancing. I promise to put my best foot forward on the dance floor and I will give my best to make my family proud. I finally feel that all the struggles have been worth it as I have reached the biggest dancing platform in the country.”
